Anyone who has spent a night dancing in a car park underneath Piccadilly Train Station will know that The Warehouse Project isn’t your typical night out.
It’s something much, much more. It is a perfect example of using an unusual space in Piccadilly to create an innovative and exciting product. Here at piccadillymanchester.com, these sorts of ventures are exactly what we like to see popping up in the area; the use of seemingly innocuous spaces being used for vibrant, well-organised activities.
Now The Warehouse Project pretty much has the partying underground box well and truly ticked. But there is still all sorts of unexplored streets in Piccadilly just waiting for that inventive idea to strike and set up home. And that’s where you come in.
To Win
This month, we would like you to tell us where in Piccadilly you would like set up an event and what that event would be; you are not restricted to what the event is, but it must be held in Piccadilly.
Don’t limit your imagination – the crazier the event and more unusual the space, the better. For instance, maybe you’d like to stage a canoe race on the Rochdale canal by Piccadilly Basin, or organise a toboggan ride on the big hill on Jutland Street!
Prize
Everyone who submits an idea will be entered into a prize draw to win 4 guestlist places to The Warehouse Project’s NYE event. Manchester band Delphic are just one of the bands lined up to perform on the night, with a special DJ set – for a full listing of the night, click HERE.
The winner will be deemed to be the entry showing the most imagination and the greatest use of a space in Piccadilly.
Competition closes on Tuesday 22nd December at 5pm – the winner will be notified before Thursday 24th December.
