The kind people at SACO Serviced Apartments, Manchester, invited the piccadillymanchester.com team along to view their wares last week. And as we were so impressed, we thought we’d let you know what they are all about.

A new sculpture had been unveiled in the building’s piazza earlier in the day and received a mixed response from the team; ‘it’s hideous’ said one; ‘well that’s sculpture’ said another. Thankfully the apartments themselves didn’t split the team’s views.

Set over the top three floors of Piccadilly Place and within 2 minutes walk from Piccadilly train station, the serviced apartments are in a perfect location for both corporate travellers and weekend city revellers.

SACO is marketing the apartments as ‘the ideal alternative to a hotel in Manchester city centre’ and on our viewing, that claim holds some weight.

The first apartment we view blows us away; on the tenth floor (apartment 14, I think), there is an incredible balcony overlooking the city, which is just screaming out to be the perfect venue for a party. Each subsequent apartment also boasts a contemporary style, fully fitted kitchens, double bedrooms, bathrooms and floor to ceiling windows.

The team were also impressed at the prices of the apartments; for instance as an introductory rate, you could take a studio apartment for just £79 per night (introductory rates only available until 31/08/09)

It is testament to the high quality finish of the apartments that all members of the Greater-Manchester-based team left thinking ‘on what premise could I stay in one of these apartments…?’ I have a sneaking suspicion you should look out for a piccadillymanchester.com party overlooking the city centre sometime soon...!
