Piccadillymanchester.com is pleased to announce the winter wonderland activities, presented by Manchester City Council and its event partners, within Piccadilly Gardens this Christmas.
Christened the ‘Piccadilly Snow Gardens’, the central hub of the city will come alive with an array of festive activities for all the family to enjoy throughout December.
The Gardens will be home to a magical ice palace, complete with Santa’s grotto, a ‘snowball’ bungydome, a snowglobe and will see the return of last year’s popular snowslide.
Janet Dunnett, chief executive of the Piccadilly Partnership commented; “It’s great to see an array of activities coming to the Piccadilly this December; the Gardens have always been a place to meet friends, but with the Snow Gardens and a Christmas market, it is becoming a destination in itself.
“The activities are the perfect way to tempt children away from the television and their video games; getting them outside and doing something active such as the Bungydome has to be a good thing. Parents can even burn off that extra mince pie if they’re feeling energetic!”
Running from Thursday 3rd December to Sunday 3rd January, family tickets will be available for most of the Snow Garden activities (for those wanting to save some money for the all-important presents) and there will be a small café to provide you with warming teas and coffees whilst you watch others daring the snowslide!
