Global private equity firm The Carlyle Group has agreed a deal with serviced office provider, Orega, to take 17,000 sq ft at its impressive Argent development Three Piccadilly Place.
The Orega deal increases the letting options on offer at Piccadilly Place development, and, as a result, will now have the facility to provide serviced offices alongside the comprehensive mixed-use elements of the scheme. This will create a one-stop shop for a broad range of potential tenants.
Totalling 12,600 sq ft, Orega will run serviced offices, as well as operating a meeting and conference room suite. The offices are situated diagonally opposite the entrance to Manchester Piccadilly railway station and the “Manchester Curve” footbridge, which connects commuters quickly and easily from the station to the office.
Most important office location
Paul Finch, joint managing director of Orega, said: “Three Piccadilly Place met our desire to select a highly distinctive and well-located office building for the new Orega business centre. It gives us a pivotal position in one of the UK’s most important office locations. Three Piccadilly Place is amongst the largest and best new commercial schemes in the city centre and the combination of high build standards and excellent transport links it provides, should prove irresistible to occupiers seeking flexible space or virtual offices and meeting rooms.”
Mark Harris, director of The Carlyle Group commented: “With its unrivalled transport connections and, now with Orega providing serviced offices, the scheme can offer occupiers the ultimate in accessibility and flexibility. Three Piccadilly Place has been built to the highest specification and boasts a BREEAM Excellent rating.”
Piccadilly Place has transformed an underused brownfield site into a high quality area of the city. Following its recent announcements regarding new tenants and awards for its facilities management, sustainability, design and construction, Three Piccadilly Place has more than illustrated how an office development can be a huge success.
