Last week saw the launch of the Partnership's PA Network Group. PAs from a range of businesses attended this inaugural event in City Inn's Blue Bar, where they were treated to a cocktail masterclass, chef demonstrations and given exclusive discounts to enjoy at the hotel.
The group has been set up following discussions with PAs from the Partnership, who suggested there was little opportunity for them to network. It is hoped that the group will enable PAs to develop collaborative relationships and decrease the sense of isolation that they can sometimes feel.
It is the vision of the Partnership that monthly events will offer an ideal forum for networking opportunities, but also provide an environment in which attendees can have a bit of fun at the same time.
Janet Dunnett, chief executive of The Piccadilly Partnership says; “From a Partnership perspective, these events will give partners the opportunity to showcase their venues, and offer members a chance to view the many potential event and meeting locations available in Piccadilly. Even now, PAs are too often taken for granted considering the integral part they play in the overall success of businesses across the professional services community. If these events can go some way to rectifying that, then that can only be of benefit to businesses across Manchester”
Jane Shaw, PA at Ramada Piccadilly Manchester commented; “I often find it strange that I have regular contact with others PAs and yet I wouldn’t recognise them if I passed them in the street! I think this is a common issue. I hope the group enables members to building on existing relationships for the future.”
