Since 1999 NCP Manchester and Manchester City Council have worked together as part of the UK’s first Joint Venture between a council and a private company.

The Manchester Operations Centre (MOC) is a state of the art control room which operates 24 hours a day every day of the year and is based in the heart of the city centre. The MOC is at the forefront of CCTV and alarm monitoring in the city centre and includes the provision of the following services;

• Over 600 hundred CCTV cameras covering Manchester, the surrounding areas and all NCP car parks

• 17 City Centre help points

• 22 Public Address systems in the city centre

• 4 Sure Start alarm systems

• Storenet and Nitenet radio systems providing a valuable link to retailers and licensed premises

• Dog Team

• Direct contact with Greater Manchester Police

To complement the relationships with local businesses, NCP Manchester is currently developing a service to provide alarm monitoring and lone-worker care. 

NCP can offer a bespoke service to suit your business’ security alarm needs. The current economic climate has resulted in an increase in crime, which in turn has resulted in increased insurance premiums and other profit-affecting costs. 

By working with NCP’s technical department and leading suppliers, they can link your premises to the MOC with little disruption and begin monitoring your premises within days. The 24-hour nature of the MOC means that it is in a position to monitor your premises through the night, a time when premises are most vulnerable.
