Private equity firm the Carlyle Group and developer Argent has signed Starbucks as the first retail tenant at Three Piccadilly Place.
The coffee chain will take a corner site between the office and the residential phase. Starbucks has taken a 1,500 sq ft ground floor retail unit on a five year term, which will also include outside seating on the Piazza.
Mark Harris, director of the Carlyle Group, said: "We wanted to ensure that our occupiers at Piccadilly Place would benefit from a strong retail offer on the ground floor and Starbucks is an ideal first retail tenant to secure. Starbucks is a universally popular brand and concept and is therefore a perfect fit for the site, so we are looking forward to welcoming the team to Piccadilly in June."
Three Piccadilly Place forms part of the 675,000 sq ft Piccadilly Place development, which officially launched last November following the completion of Four Piccadilly Place.
