Why belong?
The Piccadilly Partnership is made up of a group of passionate and like-minded businesses who want to turn a location into a desirable destination. They want to make Piccadilly a place people want to travel to and not just through. As a consequence of the hard work, commitment and investment of its Partners, the Partnership is a driving force which operates at the heart of Manchester’s Piccadilly, with the ability to shape and develop its future for the benefit of all who operate there. This is your opportunity to get involved and see results.
- Belonging to the Piccadilly Partnership means that you are part of a dynamic and influential group with a vision to revitalise and sustain Piccadilly as the ‘heart and soul’ of Manchester.
- You will join major development partners such as Manchester City Council, Argent, Bruntwood, NCP and inacity, street-level operators such as Kro Piccadilly, and businesses such as the Bank of New York Mellon, who are all working in partnership to influence change and change perceptions of Piccadilly.
- By joining, you have the opportunity to be directly involved in setting the vision and themes for Piccadilly, Manchester and will have a say in city- and community-wide issues through Manchester City Council, Cityco and GMPTE that impact on and benefit your business.
- Your commitment to the Partnership and Piccadilly will ensure that the area continues to grow and develop with each partner contributing to and benefiting from the progress made.
The Benefits of Belonging
The benefits of belonging extend further than the investment that you make through the Partnership. We work hard to ensure that all our Partners are able to make full use of a wide variety of tangible and practical communication tools, to enable them to do business more productively within Piccadilly.
These include:
- The Partnership arranges several Partnership events a year encouraging you to build relationships with others in Piccadilly and to find out what is happening in the area. Equally, knowledge based events, such as the Crime & Security survey and update and Environmental Audit keep partners informed about the Partnership’s work with our key Partners. Sector lead events, such as the Retailers Forum, allow Partners the opportunity to join forces and promote their businesses together throughout the year with initiatives such as the Piccadilly Loyalty Card.
- Fundamental to the Partnership’s strategy for enhancing the Public Realm, is the provision of external events. Our aim is to engage with the community, and to create activity, which can be enjoyed by all who use Piccadilly. National events such as Urban Moves Dance Festival, Platform 4 Piccadilly and Futuresonic, supporting the Manchester Playscheme, together with a major crowd-drawing festive ice rink, have cemented Piccadilly’s reputation as an ideal location for both cultural and commercial events.
