Chip Shop Awards triumph for Creative Spark

Digital and branding agency Creative Spark recently scooped 2 awards at the 2009 Chip Shop Awards, held at Fabric Nightclub in London.
The awards, especially designed to appeal to uber-cool creative-types, were well attended by agencies both big and small from around the world.

The winners on the night earned themselves a Chip trophy, with the slightly bitter runners-up presented with a Bottle of Vinegar trophy.

Creative Spark won their Chips in the ‘Best Stationery’ category, for their work on the made-up massage client Jackie Wright, with a concept created by Ian Hogg and developed by head designer Andy Mallalieu. The agency, based in the Northern Quarter and Associate Partner of the Partnership, were also joint winners alongside world-renowned agency Saatchi and Saatchi and London-based agency Realtime UK in the ‘Invent Your Own category’ for a recruitment advert created for Microsoft.

Neil Marra, creative director at Creative Spark, said “It is always excellent to win awards, not only to win credibility for the agency, but also for the individuals involved. The Chip Shop Awards are especially good because they give space for total creativity, with freedom and the artistic license you wouldn’t necessarily get with other awards.”

Creative Spark has also been shortlisted for Best E-Business Project for their work on the Manchester United Soccer Schools website at the Big Chip Awards, which is being held at the Palace Hotel on 18th June.
