Leading international built asset consultancy, EC Harris is set to move into Three Piccadilly Place, taking the entire 10th floor, totalling 12,710 sq ft.
This new letting confirms Three Piccadilly Place as the most sought after office location in Manchester and builds on the strong momentum of lettings achieved last year. EC Harris will join the NHS North West, which agreed a 55,000 sq ft letting at the end of last year, as well as solicitors, Weightmans, serviced office provider, Orega and The Insolvency Service. The building is now over 60% let.
EC Harris advises its clients on the planning and executing of strategies to optimise the construction, operation, use and ownership of built assets. EC Harris will relocate to Piccadilly Place from its current Manchester office in The Royal Exchange.
Three Piccadilly Place forms part of the 675,000 sq ft Piccadilly Place development, which officially launched in November 2009, following the completion of Four Piccadilly Place. Both Three and Four Piccadilly Place have been built to the highest specification and boast BREEAM “Excellent” ratings.
Mark Harris, director of The Carlyle Group, comments; “Our first new tenant for 2010 at Three Piccadilly Place builds on our excellent momentum from last year, as we continue to see strong interest from potential occupiers. With its unrivalled transport connections, the scheme offers tenants the ultimate in accessibility and flexibility.”
Scott Motley, partner and Northwest location leader at EC Harris said of the deal: “We pride ourselves on helping our clients deliver the best possible positive outcomes from their investment in built assets and we need to ensure that our people have an environment that fosters innovation and best practice working. The Piccadilly area has become a real destination for businesses in the City and Three Piccadilly Place will provide us with a dynamic working environment that will facilitate our future growth. The move is a highly visible commitment by EC Harris to both our people and the region.”
James Evans from Savills said: “The deal with EC Harris is a significant transaction for Three Piccadilly Place, underlining its position as a vibrant, commercial and sustainable office destination within the city.”
