Manchester food & drink summit - 24 May

Manchester’s first food and drink summit is set to take place on May 24 at Manchester’s Ramada Piccadilly.

The event will offer a rare opportunity for everyone from restaurant owners and producers, to academics and food enthusiasts, to debate and discuss all elements of the industry. The aim is to establish a serious, north west-based food industry 'talking shop' aspiring to become an annual, national event.

The event is set to feature a series of high profile keynote speakers such as Loyd Grossman, Matthew Fort, Fergus Henderson, Paul Heathcote and Henrietta Green.

The one day event in Ramada Piccadilly’s impressive surroundings is designed for people working across the sector including restaurant & bar owners, retailers, food and drink producers, hotel employees, students and academics, the hospitality sector, tourism officers, the media and serious food enthusiasts.

The organisers have taken inspiration from cutting edge music conference ‘In the City’, and hope to motivate delegates with a series of thought provoking debates and Q&A sessions, hosted by a variety of well known personalities from the UK’s food and drink scene.

An ‘Emerging Talent’ Producers Market will also take place in Piccadilly Gardens throughout the day.
