Piccadilly Gardens played centre stage over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend at the ‘Hungry Pigeon’ festival.
Nine hours of music, dance and general merriment took place in the Gardens, with 4000 people venturing to the Gardens for the free event.
There were some fantastic sets played on the day from bands such as Kid British, who were fresh from their appearance on Soccer AM that morning and seemed to enjoy the sunshine that shone on Piccadilly for the day. You can view part of their set here
Other entertainment came from Manchester Samba School - click here to see a snapshot of their show.
There were a number of benefits for local businesses, as a large number of visitors enjoyed the inflatable 'Kro Bar' in the centre of the Gardens and Rice Piccadilly showcased their sushi menu. The Hungry Pigeon festival appealed to a wide audience, with under-18s events and an art treasure trail that gave families something to do.
