The Thistle Hotel Manchester has recently seen the completion of its first phase of a £3 million refurbishment.

This first phase saw 48 bedrooms completed to date, with all 205 bedrooms expected to be refurbished by end of October 2010.

The city centre hotel, located on Portland Street in Manchester, is set to re-vamp its reception, bar and restaurant facilities. On completion of the whole refurbishment project, the hotel will return to its ‘original’ name; The Portland Hotel by Thistle.

The Thistle Hotel Manchester expects the refurbishment to help re-position them within the business market and hope to see a boost in business over the coming months.
